Full bio
Naol is a Canadian artist and producer whose work exists at the intersection of faith, vulnerability, and modern sound. Raised near Toronto, he builds records that move between Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Indie, and Electronic, not as a collage of references, but as a single emotional language.
His path into music was not linear. A promising football journey, including a commitment toward the University of Toronto and a later scholarship move to Saint Mary's University, changed course after a period of profound personal difficulty. Returning home, Naol turned toward sound. He taught himself piano, guitar, music production, songwriting, and recording. The beginning was modest and exact: FL Studio. A phone. Bluetooth headphones.
He began releasing music in 2018, developing an independent catalogue and a reputation for honesty. Over time, his work reached listeners through CBC Radio 1, PopCanRadio, Ones To Watch, SoundCloud Editorial playlists, CanadianBeats, Zach's Picks, BuzzMusic, and We Write About Music. The early era was searching. Music as outlet, documentation, and survival.
In 2025, the purpose changed. After a spiritual awakening, Naol made a decision that now defines the work: to make music to glorify God. The records that followed, including Indebted, Saved, and blessed, mark a new chapter. Faith is not an overlay on the music. It is the reason the music exists.
Naol writes to worship Jesus, to tell the truth about the human experience, and to spread the Gospel. The themes that return across the catalogue, fear, hope, faith, sanity, redemption, are not slogans. They are the terrain of the work.
Beyond music, Naol holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Guelph and has studied Artificial Intelligence at Humber Polytechnic. He runs FiAWY Records, built MARVIS (Music Artist Rights Virtual Intelligence), is a Creative Partner for Artists for Mental Health, and is involved in CriticAI. Those chapters remain secondary. The centre of the work is the music, and the mission inside it.
